Elevating riders + honoring horses.

Ellicott City, Maryland

After several years of growth and moving, Clover Luck Stables landed at our permanent location in 2022. Since then we have built our dream barn and added new equine family members to our herd.  We are excited to continue making memories with our equestrian community!

Our dream barn.

Meet the Horses

Our horses are the heart and soul of the program. They have eclectic past lives, but this band of former misfits have grown into superstars here at Clover Luck. We have also rescued many horses from the slaughter pipeline and take pride in giving seniors a soft place to land.

Straight from the Horse's Mouth

Our two children have been riding with Clover Luck now for a few years! Watching their confidence and love of the horses has been so wonderful! They work so hard on their riding skills. Stephanie is a phenomenal instructor. Besides the relationship with the best ponies on the planet, the friendships they have made at the barn and camps have been unmatched! Their team-building and creativity has grown for sure.

Clover Luck is my happy place—where I can go at the end of a stressful day at work, and the moment I get out of the car the tension lifts and I can relax. We have a wonderful group of adult riders and we all “get” each other, so it’s easy to let it all go and be myself, which is something I didn’t find to be the case at other barns.

My 7 year old has been riding at Clover Luck for the past several years. Through her riding lessons and camps she has gained a wealth of equine knowledge from how to groom and tack her horse, proper equine nutrition, how to care for horses throughout the seasons, and equine health and safety, just to name a few. Not only has Stephanie greatly advanced her riding skills but she has also instilled in her a forever love for the sport and these beautiful animals.

Stephanie, Matt, and the Clover Luck team embody horsemanship, and their hard work and dedication is evident through the happy horses and riders at the barn. There is a wonderful community of riders of all ages, including adults!

As an adult amateur, Clover Luck is truly a special place. For many of us, we are returning to the saddle after a long break, for some over a decade. Clover Luck has fostered a place for adults to learn and grow alongside each other. For anyone looking for an atmosphere that fosters community and celebrates individual progress, you will never find a better place.
